At The Oval Partnerships we find that looking for the best candidates involves doing a fair amount of research and industry knowledge.
We look for insights and answers that go beyond the obvious and understand our candidates’ behaviours, cultural fits and needs, examining the skills and experience they have in practice…not just on paper. Seeing how we’ll all get along. Taking chemistry into account which is really important and often overlooked on a CV.
The best candidates may not be the ones that are looking
Another thing we have learnt is that the best candidates for a new role aren’t necessarily the ones looking for one. Here, conventional advertising can only have a limited effect.
That’s why we go the extra yard…or mile…to find them, instead of waiting for them to find us. So we embrace alternative avenues of communication, like social media and Headhunting.
