Raising a glass to Burns Night from Elgin.
Every year on 25 January, Scotland and Scots around the world celebrate Robert Burns, with an evening of poetry, toasts and togetherness known as a Burns Supper. Traditional gatherings follow a familiar order: the Selkirk Grace, the ceremonial “piping in” of the haggis, Burns’ famous “Address to a Haggis”, and an Immortal Memory speech reflecting on his life and legacy.
At the heart of the night is food and drink: haggis served with neeps and tatties, followed by classic Scottish desserts, all washed down with drams of Scotch whisky, the spirit Burns linked with friendship, warmth and good company. For us at The Oval Partnership, it is a perfect celebration of the producers, distillers and manufacturers who bring Scotland’s food and drink heritage to life.
Our Elgin?based specialist, Toby Bigmore, partners with senior leaders across whisky, brewing, bakery and wider food manufacturing to build high?performing teams that keep this tradition, and the industry, thriving.
If you're a senior food or drink professional considering your next move in 2026, or looking to strengthen your leadership team, we would be delighted to talk.
