Energising Our Business: Half-Year Highslights & Looking Forward
The day started at our Bawtry office with Managing Director Tim Caseldine leading a candid and energising update. Tim walked us through a recap of the first half of the year, celebrating achievements and recognising the team’s resilience and determination. He provided a transparent view of our half-year business position, highlighting areas where we’re excelling and where we’re set to go even further.
Alicia followed with a quick marketing update, looking into web vacancy engagement & improvements. Her insights shone a light on which roles are drawing the most attention and what’s resonating with our audience.
Nicola brought recruitment data to the forefront, treating the team to a refresher on Eploy and key recruitment trends—ensuring everyone’s up to date and equipped for success.
Tim wrapped up the business session with a heartfelt congratulations to the whole team for our results at the halfway mark, capping it off with a very happy birthday wish for Kayleigh!
Adventure on the Water: SUP with DC Outdoors
After a quick catch-up on calls and emails, and a much-needed lunch, it was time for some team bonding with a twist. Guided by our go-to watersports coach Dan from DC Outdoors, we swapped suits for wetsuits and headed to Ulley Reservoir for a stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) adventure.
The sunshine was glorious and the water inviting as we kitted up and took to the boards for a safety briefing and some novice paddling. Balancing on knees, then feet, nerves quickly gave way to laughter, especially when Tim took the first (and very splashy) tumble into the reservoir! It wasn’t long before the rest of us joined in.
Once we’d found our balance, the games began, think team caterpillars, backflips, headstands (some more elegant than others!), and a healthy dose of friendly competition. By the end, we’d proven ourselves a fleet of SUP pros, if only for the afternoon!
To New Heights and Full Plates
With the sun still shining, we headed back to the office for some calls and admin, and then capped off the day together sharing delicious dishes at Zinis. From business wins to SUP shenanigans and a team meal to finish, it was a day full of energy, laughter, and connection.
