On Wednesday 13th November the Oval team headed over to Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice, based in North Anston, Sheffield to support the Hospice by volunteering in the Fundraising Office. We were met by the fabulous Eleanor Hughes who kindly took the the time to show us all around the wonderful Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice & their facilities. We were especially moved by the walk around the beautifully serene & peaceful Dragonfly Garden with Eleanor explaining the brilliant work a group of Bluebell Wood parents carry out to keep this magnificent space blooming. We were all in awe of the tireless work absolutely everyone involved at Bluebell Wood undertakes there every single day & inspired by the bravery of the families who use Bluebell Wood's services in spite of the daily challenges they face.
We were delighted to be able to help out in our small way & all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and meeting everyone there. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. It has cemented our continued support for Bluebell Wood & we will all strive to help out our fabulous local charity however and whenever we can.
We were proud to deliver the cheque for £2778.37 to Bluebell Wood which we raised earlier this year whilst taking part in the Samworth Charity Challenge 2024.
All in all it was a wonderful experience and one we can certainly recommend to other local people & businesses.
We look forward to keeping in touch, hearing Bluebell news & getting involved in more Bluebell events in the future.
