Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge 2024

Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge 2024

On Saturday The Oval Partnership sent their Head Hunt Heroes team of 4 (Alicia, Clayton, Gemma & Nicola), to take on The Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge 2024.

They trekked up Loughrigg Fell, kayaked around Lake Windemere & Cycled through villages, up & down mountains & around lakes in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District.

They battled their way through many challenges along the way trying to find checkpoints to score as many points as possible, eventually ending up in a highly respectable 5th position out of 41 teams – the best ever Oval result in the many Samworth Brothers Charity Challenges they have taken part in over the years!

The event was meticulously organised, down to every last detail which meant it ran like clockwork.  The volunteers marshalling the course (big shout out to Tim Caseldine) were extremely helpful & a much welcome friendly face to restock the participants with food & drink supplies along the way.

The weather was glorious, allowing the breathtaking beauty of the views & surroundings to be fully appreciated by participants & volunteers alike.

It all added up to being a wonderful event & a memorable experience for everyone involved & in the process raising a record-breaking amount for many different charities across the UK.  Huge thank you to Samworth Brothers for putting on such a fantastic event, well done to all the competitors and teams aswell as a shout out to the volunteers on the day.

We would like to personally thank each & every one of our fantastic sponsors who kindly donated an amazingly generous grand total of £2602 to our wonderful Charity Partners Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice.  We know how much this will mean to the Charity & the families it supports so thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We're already looking forward to The Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge 2026 & raising more money for Bluebell Wood.
