Will Grainger makes his professional debut!

On Tuesday, 26th August 2025 Will Grainger made his professional debut for Sheffield Wednesday Football Club in the Carabao Cup against Leeds, a milestone moment packed with passion, perseverance, and pride. As many of you know, Will is the son of our very own Director, Nicola Grainger, who couldn’t be more thrilled about this fantastic achievement.

A lifelong Owls supporter, Will’s journey began even before he could walk, when Captain Barry Bannan made his debut, Will was just 27 days old!
Last night’s debut for Will was uniquely special: he wore no sponsor on his shirt because, at just 16, he isn’t allowed to advertise gambling. A reminder that the journey to success often requires integrity, resilience, patience, and timing.

At The Oval Partnership, we champion the same qualities in food and drink recruitment: nurturing growth, celebrating milestones, and knowing that the right timing and environment turn potential into professional success, talent needs the right conditions to flourish.

To all our clients and candidates in the food and drink industry, Will’s debut is a reminder that behind every success story is a blend of passion, support, and the right opportunities, from grassroots to the professional stage.

Huge Congratulations Will from us all at The Oval Partnership, we are brimming with pride . Here’s to many more debuts, milestones, and celebrations ahead!
