We are partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business looking for an experienced Account Manager to take ownership of key customer relationships and help drive continued commercial growth.

Role Overview

In this role, you will manage and develop a portfolio of important customer accounts, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities to grow sales, profitability, and customer value. You will work closely with internal teams across commercial, supply chain, operations, and product development to deliver excellent service and ensure customer plans are executed effectively. The role suits someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on customer management and who is confident operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across a portfolio of key accounts.

  • Create and deliver account plans that support growth, profitability, and long-term partnership.

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to align customer requirements with operational capability.

  • Support forecasting, demand planning, and customer insight to improve service and availability.

  • Identify new opportunities for growth, including innovation-led and value-added solutions.

  • Review customer and market data to spot trends, improve performance, and support decision-making.

  • Lead or support continuous improvement activity that enhances customer experience and business performance.

  • Represent the business professionally and proactively in all customer interactions.

 

About You

We are looking for someone with proven experience in account management or commercial roles within food or drink manufacturing.

You will be confident building relationships at a senior level, commercially sharp, and comfortable balancing customer needs with business priorities.

Strong communication, negotiation, and planning skills are essential, along with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders effectively.

 

Skills / Experience

  • Experience managing customer accounts in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.

  • A strong understanding of commercial performance, forecasting, and customer service.

  • The ability to spot and convert opportunities for growth.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.

  • Confidence working with internal teams to deliver results.
