Our Client, a leading drinks manufacturer based in Bedfordshire, are seeking a Brewing & Syrup Senior Operator to join their production team.

This role offers the opportunity to oversee the production process from raw material intake through to bright beer and syrup output while deputising for the Brewing Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting daily brewing and syrup operations

• Managing stock control, storage, and accurate record keeping of materials and ingredients

• Operating site automation (SCADA) and quality control systems (LIMS)

• Handling malt milling, wort transfer, fermentation monitoring, yeast management, green beer centrifugation, and filtration

• Managing syrup production, including precise ingredient measurement and CIP of syrup equipment

• Ensuring compliance with stringent health, safety, hygiene, and global food safety standards

• Conducting risk assessments and COSHH compliance

• Supervising, training, and coaching brewing and syrup operatives

• Assisting with SOP development and continuous improvement initiatives

• Providing weekend and ASH cover as required

Skills / Experience

• Experience in food production or manufacturing, preferably within drinks or brewing

• A Levels or equivalent qualifications

• Forklift licence preferred but training available onsite

• Computer literate with confidence using automated systems

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proactive, able to follow instructions and use initiative effectively

• Flexible to work shifts as required

Salary: Choose between two competitive pay grades on a 3-shift pattern:

• Grade 2.4: £37,560.36 (base salary plus shift allowance)

• Grade 2.5: £39,345.39 (base salary plus shift allowance)
