Are you a natural relationship-builder who knows how to engage people, create commercial opportunities and confidently represent a premium brand?
We are exclusively representing an established London-based premium patisserie business that supplies some of the UK’s most prestigious retail and hospitality customers.
As part of its next stage of growth, the business is looking for a Business Development & Events Executive to expand its presence across luxury hospitality, fine dining, corporate events and premium travel.
This is a varied, outward-facing position combining new business development, customer relationship management, events and brand representation.
The role
Working closely with the company’s directors and wider team, you will help shape and deliver its business development strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Identifying and approaching prospective customers across fine-dining restaurants, luxury hotels, premium retailers, corporate events and airport lounges
-
Building relationships with executive chefs, pastry chefs, food and beverage teams, buyers and hospitality decision-makers
-
Attending and supporting customer events, tastings and product activations
-
Representing the business at trade shows, networking events and customer meetings
-
Introducing the product range, arranging tastings and communicating what makes the brand distinctive
-
Developing new leads and managing opportunities from initial contact through to launch
-
Growing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
-
Researching potential markets, venues, events and commercial partnerships
-
Working collaboratively with the internal team to develop ideas, proposals and tailored customer solutions
-
Maintaining accurate records of conversations, opportunities and follow-up actions
-
Providing regular updates on business development activity and the commercial pipeline
-
Sharing customer and market insight to support the company’s future strategy
About you
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people and has the confidence to start conversations, build rapport and turn relationships into commercial opportunities.
You may currently work in business development, sales, events, hospitality, luxury retail, foodservice or account management. Alternatively, you could be an experienced events professional with the personality and commercial ability to move into a broader business development role.
You will ideally have:
-
Experience within food, hospitality, events, luxury retail or a similarly customer-focused environment
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
The confidence to engage with chefs, buyers, event organisers and senior decision-makers
-
A proactive approach to generating leads and opening new doors
-
The ability to sell through relationships, product knowledge and enthusiasm
-
Excellent organisation and follow-up skills
-
A genuine interest in premium food and hospitality
-
The flexibility to attend customer events and meetings when required
-
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Experience selling into luxury hotels, fine-dining restaurants or premium hospitality customers would be advantageous, but it is not essential. Personality, commercial instinct and the ability to represent a high-quality brand are equally important.
What’s on offer
-
Salary of £30,000–£35,000, with some flexibility for the right person
-
Negotiable performance-related bonus
-
The opportunity to join an established and ambitious premium food business
-
Exposure to prestigious customers and venues
-
The chance to directly influence the company’s future growth
-
A varied role combining events, relationship management and new business development
The interview process will consist of an initial Teams interview followed by a final on-site meeting with the Director.
If you are personable, commercially minded and would enjoy introducing a premium food brand to some of the UK’s most exciting hospitality businesses, we would love to hear from you.
