Our client, a well respected food manufacturer & processor, are currently looking for a Category Executive to deliver genuine commercial impact across the UK grocery retail landscape, turning data-driven insight into meaningful growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leading UK retailers to identify and develop category growth opportunities across ranging, merchandising, pricing, promotions, NPD, and marketing initiatives.
  • Deliver robust category insight and strategic recommendations that drive value for both customers and consumers.
  • Analyse and interpret market and shopper data to uncover behavioural trends and growth drivers.
  • Support the commercial, NPD, and technical teams with clear category guidance and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis through regular store visits, pricing reviews, and trend monitoring.
  • Build strong relationships with retail partners and internal stakeholders to deliver collaborative, insight-led solutions.
  • Travel to customer sites, retail stores, and company locations as part of your ongoing category development activity.

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience within food or drink category management or FMCG commercial environments.

  • A sharp analytical mind with excellence in interpreting and presenting complex data sets in a clear, engaging way.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • High levels of initiative and resilience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
