Role Overview
As Category Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping category strategy and championing consumer insight to deliver growth. You’ll build strong relationships with key retail partners, influence decision making through data-driven storytelling, and work closely with internal teams to turn insights into winning product and promotional plans.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing key retail accounts with regular client meetings to drive category growth.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with retail contacts across multiple channels.

Delivering regular, actionable internal category reviews using data and insight.

Providing analytical support in the creation of internal and customer category plans.

Collaborating with Sales and Product Development teams to share insight and trend updates.

Evaluating commercial and NPD ideas using shopper research and data tools.

Supporting product benchmarking and development sessions.

Conducting regular store visits to assess fixtures, ranges, and promotional activity, feeding back actionable recommendations.

Acting as the consumer’s voice in all development activity and championing the business as a category authority.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and commercially astute, with a genuine interest in food and consumer trends.
You’ll bring strong communication skills and a track record of turning insight into action.
Key skills, experience & qualificatons

A degree (or equivalent) and proven experience in Category Management, ideally within FMCG (Food) and Private Label.

Demonstrable customer-facing experience with strong relationship-building skills.

Proficiency with retail data sources such as Kantar, Nielsen, and EPOS.

Experience combining multiple data points to build compelling category stories and influence key stakeholders.

Excellent presentation and analytical skills, with the ability to spot trends and opportunities.
