An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious eCommerce Account Executive to join the sales team of an established and growing UK food manufacturer.
This is a newly created role, reflecting the increasing importance of eCommerce within the wider commercial strategy.
You will play a key part in shaping and developing the organisation’s online agenda across priority UK retail accounts, using data, insight and commercial curiosity to identify opportunities and deliver sustainable sales growth.
Reporting to the Senior National Account Manager and based on site 2 days per week, you will work across retail media, online trading and digital shelf optimisation.
This role would suit someone with strong analytical capability who is ready to take ownership, influence senior stakeholders and build a long-term career in eCommerce and FMCG.
Experience within food, drink, FMCG, retail or eCommerce would be advantageous, but attitude, learning agility and cultural fit are equally important.
Key Responsibilities
Retail media and online trading

Support the planning, launch and weekly optimisation of retail media campaigns across key platforms.

Manage campaign activity including keywords, bids, budgets, placements and creative assets.

Monitor spend, sales, return on advertising spend and sponsored placement performance.

Help develop a structured test-and-learn approach, using clear hypotheses, measurement and post-campaign analysis.

Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency, incrementality and return on investment.

Support the growth of quick-commerce activity by improving online visibility, availability and reach.
Digital shelf optimisation

Improve product discoverability and the online shopper journey across retailer websites.

Optimise search, category placement, recommendations, cross-selling and digital merchandising opportunities.

Monitor product availability and online content accuracy, including imagery, titles, pack information and claims.

Support the development of branded and category landing pages where appropriate.

Take ownership of product content management and optimisation for new product launches.
Analysis, reporting and insight

Produce regular performance updates covering key eCommerce metrics, results, opportunities and recommended actions.

Complete competitor reviews, including sponsored activity and bidding strategies during key trading periods.

Translate complex datasets into clear, commercially relevant insight.

Present recommendations confidently to senior stakeholders and help secure support for further investment in eCommerce.

Make timely optimisation changes based on daily and weekly performance data.
Cross-functional collaboration

Work closely with account management, brand, category and new product development teams.

Lead structured monthly sessions to share online performance and understand customer priorities.

Support the successful launch of new products across online retail channels.

Collaborate with retailer contacts to prioritise and deliver high-value opportunities.

Build strong working relationships across the business and contribute to the continued development of the eCommerce strategy.
Key Skills & Experience
You may be an experienced eCommerce Executive, Account Executive or Commercial Analyst, or a recent graduate looking to establish a career in FMCG eCommerce. Most importantly, you will be curious, ambitious and motivated to make a visible contribution.

Experience in FMCG, food and drink, retail, eCommerce or retail media is desirable but not essential.
