Our client are a family owned bakery business based in North Lancashire. Their business is growing and so too are their opportunities. They are currently looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, profit and loss, variance analysis and board reports
- Responsible for the reconciliation of accounts receivables and accounts payable
- Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and posting of accruals, prepayment and provisions
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Preparing monthly salaries and deputising for hourly paid payroll processing
- Preparing financial information for annual external audit
- Develop, implement, and improve financial procedures appropriate to the organisation
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Oversee the daily operations and provide guidance and coaching to the Finance Coordinator.
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
- Maintain and support development of internal IT systems.
- Proactive in the implementation of Sage X3
- Support Directors with various ad hoc requirements.
