Our client is seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to join an exciting, fast-paced business in the premium drinks industry.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious self-starter to work with some of the UK’s key convenience and wholesale customers, helping to grow visibility, distribution, and sales for sought-after premium brands.

 

                       

 

The Role

 

As a Key Account Manager, you will:

  • Deliver profitable sales growth across a portfolio of key off-trade accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers at all levels.
  • Develop and execute robust annual account plans aligned with brand positioning and business strategy.
  • Lead customer negotiations, new business pitches, and tender processes.
  • Work closely with marketing, category, and supply chain teams to bring initiatives to life.
  • Provide accurate forecasting to ensure smooth supply and delivery.
  • Manage budgets and deliver against agreed KPIs.

This role suits someone who thrives in negotiation, loves finding creative solutions, and brings energy to every interaction.

 

Location: UK (field based with travel)
Reporting to: National Account Manager

 

Skills & Experience

 

Essential:

  • Proven track record in sales with consistently strong results.
  • A proactive, results-focused, ‘go-getter’ mentality.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilience, persistence, and a passion for making a difference.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience working with UK off-trade and/or convenience customers.
  • Previous experience in the drinks or FMCG sector (ideal, but not essential).
  • Background in on-trade or wholesale looking to step into a national account career path.

 

Key Competencies

  • Selling & Negotiation excellence.
  • Skilled at creating and delivering engaging pitches and presentations.
  • Strong data analysis and commercial insight.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Organised and able to prioritise effectively in a high-paced environment.
  • Creative and adaptable in driving new initiatives.
