Role Overview
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll report to the Engineering Shift Supervisor and help ensure optimal efficiency at a leading food manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities
-
Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on state-of-the-art production lines.

Drive improvements in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and plant performance.

Champion the business’s values and work collaboratively as a trusted team player.
Key Skills:
-
Solid understanding of electrical testing, fault finding, debugging, and system development.

Confidence in PLC programming and working with plant services (steam, air, water).
-
Experience in a food manufacturing/processing environment is highly desirable.

Essential Qualifications:

Senior Trades level or equivalent European NFQ qualification, and/or NCEA Certificate/Diploma in Electro-Mechanical disciplines.

FETAC Level 6 or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds, Solas apprenticeship).
Desirable:
-
Comfortable working under pressure and with minimum supervision.
-
Experience or training in controls, pneumatics, or welding.

Well-versed in GMP, safety procedures, and maintenance documentation.

Initiative in process improvement.

Strong written, record-keeping, and communication skills.
-
PC literate—basic navigation and file management.
