We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial food & drink professional to lead growth in a fast-paced chilled and frozen category with a growing UK food manufacturer.

 

You’ll be focused on accelerating retail performance, opening new doors and maximising the potential of an already well-invested platform with clear long-term ambitions.

 

Role overview

  • Owning and growing a portfolio of major retail accounts, driving distribution, range and margin across chilled and frozen.

  • Proactively targeting new opportunities, opening doors and building senior buyer relationships to deliver new listings and incremental projects.

  • Bringing an active innovation pipeline to life, working closely with NPD, category and supply chain to land launches successfully.

  • Leading commercial conversations end-to-end (JBPs, pricing, promotional strategy, investment and post-evaluation).

  • Acting as a visible voice of the customer internally, ensuring plans are commercially robust and executable.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in National Account Management or senior commercial roles within UK food & drink, ideally supplying major grocery retailers.
  • Comfortable in chilled/frozen, with the pace, complexity and demands that come with short shelf life and high service expectations.
  • A natural “door opener” and relationship builder, credible with senior buyers and able to challenge, influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Commercially sharp, data-literate and hands on, equally happy in customer meetings, internal strategy sessions and the detail of the numbers.
