The Opportunity

This is a key senior commercial role for a proven business developer who thrives on building strategic relationships at a national level. You will lead business growth initiatives, manage high-value partnerships, and identify new market opportunities, working closely with the wider management team to deliver consistent commercial performance and brand expansion.

This role provides the autonomy to shape national strategy while remaining hands-on in executing business development plans that drive measurable results.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the national business development strategy aligned with company growth objectives.

  • Identify and secure new business partnerships across national accounts, major catering groups, hospitality chains, leisure, and travel sectors.

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.

  • Manage and grow existing key accounts, ensuring retention, profitability, and service excellence.

  • Lead contract negotiations, tenders, and pricing discussions with commercial insight and confidence.

  • Work closely with the executive team to forecast revenue, set commercial targets, and track performance against KPIs.

  • Represent the business at national trade events, exhibitions, and partner meetings to raise visibility and drive momentum.

  • Collaborate across marketing, operations, and supply chain functions to ensure seamless account integration and delivery.

  • Feed customer insights and market intelligence into product development and brand strategy.

 

Experience and Credentials

  • Proven track record (5+ years) in national business development or senior sales roles within the Foodservice, Hospitality, or HORECA sectors.

  • Strong relationships within contract catering, leisure, or hospitality markets, with experience in B2B premium brand partnerships.

  • Exceptional commercial negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Confident delivering at board level and providing strategic input into company direction.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term partnerships that drive revenue growth.

  • Analytical and commercially aware with the ability to translate data into actionable plans.

  • Entrepreneurial, driven, and resilient—able to thrive in a scaling, fast-paced environment.
