A well-established chilled food manufacturer is looking for a Process Development Manager to join a high-volume site in Grimsby.
This role is hands-on, factory-facing and delivery-focused, with a clear pathway into people management.
This is not a creative NPD role. It’s about running trials, delivering customer changes, and making sure products land smoothly and safely in factory.

Key responsibilities

Leading process trials and scale-up from concept through to launch

Owning customer changes, renovations and factory trials

Working closely with Operations, Technical and Engineering on site

Managing critical paths, yields and trial costs

Supporting manufacturing readiness and continuous improvement

Mentoring Process Technologists, with line management responsibility within 6 months

What we’re looking for
-
Experience as a Senior Process Technologist, or a Process Technologist operating at senior level

Confident leading trials and working on the factory floor

Exposure to UK retail customers (own-label)

Strong organisation, communication and project management skills
-
Solid understanding of food safety and factory standards
(chilled food experience helpful but not essential- product type experts on site!)
