You’ll be responsible for shaping sourcing strategy, leading negotiations, and delivering measurable value across a broad range of operational goods and services.
Role Overview
As Procurement Manager, you will take end-to-end responsibility for operational and indirect procurement activity across a complex multi-site environment.
You will define and implement sourcing strategies that ensure continuity of supply, competitive pricing and strong service levels, while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and reduce cost.
Working cross-functionally, you’ll lead tender activity, manage supplier relationships and develop robust commercial agreements that support long-term business needs.
You’ll also contribute to forecasting, budgeting and performance reporting, ensuring procurement activity is aligned with wider financial and operational objectives.
Key responsibilities

Develop and deliver sourcing strategies across operational and indirect categories.

Lead end-to-end tendering activity, from market review through to contract award.

Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs and supplier agreements that deliver value and stability.

Drive and support cost-saving and profit improvement initiatives.

Manage category budgets, forecasts and cost variance analysis.

Present recommendations and commercial proposals to senior leadership.

Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders across operations, technical and commercial teams.

Resolve supplier issues proactively and support recovery of non-conformance costs where required.
About you
We’re looking for a proven procurement professional with experience gained in UK food, FMCG or related manufacturing environments.
You’ll bring strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills and the confidence to influence at all levels of the business.
