An established, fast?growing UK food & drink manufacturer is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead category strategy across multiple chilled categories with major grocery retailers.?
Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Category & Marketing, you will own the category agenda for key retail customers and act as the “voice of the shopper” in the business.
You will turn data and insight into clear, actionable category plans and work closely with Commercial, NPD and Insight teams.?
Key responsibilities:?

Lead the category planning process and create customer?focused category plans aligned to business and retailer objectives.?

Deliver regular market and category reviews with clear conclusions and quantified opportunities.?

Embed shopper and consumer insight, working with internal insight teams and external data sources.?

Play a key role in the NPD stage?gate process, ensuring insight informs briefs and key decisions.?

Own category input into range, merchandising, pricing, promotions and activation (in?store and online).?

Coach and support Category Executives/Managers to deliver high?quality outputs.?
Candidate profile
You are an experienced Category Manager or Senior Category Manager from an FMCG background, ideally with chilled food or drink experience and major UK retailer exposure.?
Skills & Experience

Strong category management experience within FMCG and a track record of influencing retail partners.?

Excellent skills in using market, shopper and consumer data (EPOS, Kantar, panel/loyalty data).?

High numeracy and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.?

Confident presentation and storytelling, with the ability to convert insight into commercial actions.?

Collaborative style and experience coaching others.
