A leading food and drink manufacturer is looking for an experienced Specifications & Artwork Specialist to take ownership of specifications, artwork and technical compliance across a fast-paced product portfolio.

In this role, you will be a key point of contact for specifications and artwork activity, supporting product launches, changes and ongoing technical maintenance.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure all product information is accurate, legally compliant and delivered right first time.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing and coordinating specifications and artwork activity across the business, ensuring all documentation is maintained to a high standard and aligned with customer and legal requirements.

You will support change management processes, critical paths and audit readiness, while acting as a trusted technical partner to internal teams and customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing specifications and artwork processes from brief through to completion.

• Maintaining and updating critical paths to support timely and accurate delivery.

• Coordinating product changes and ensuring all updates are controlled and communicated effectively.

• Maintaining customer specification portals and supporting with any technical queries or issues.

• Providing guidance on food labelling, product policy and legal requirements.

• Supporting technical audits with relevant specification and artwork information.

• Building strong relationships across technical, commercial, NPD and operations teams.

• Supporting wider projects and continuous improvement activity as required.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a senior-level professional who brings strong experience in food and drink specifications and artwork, ideally gained within a retailer-facing, branded or own-label environment.

You’ll combine technical confidence with excellent organisation, strong attention to detail and the ability to influence across multiple functions.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in specifications and artwork within food or drink manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of retailer policies, specifications systems and food legislation.

• A proven track record of managing deadlines and multiple priorities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach.

• Confidence handling technical detail with accuracy and pace.

• Experience supporting change management, compliance and project delivery.
