An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business in Lancashire.
This is a key leadership role for a commercially minded supply chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is passionate about driving service, efficiency and continuous improvement.
You will take ownership of the supply chain function, working closely with planning and purchasing teams to ensure production and customer requirements are met.
With a strong focus on inventory, service levels, cost control and compliance, this role offers the chance to make a real impact across a well-established operation.
As Supply Chain Manager, you’ll work closely with planning and purchasing teams to ensure production requirements are met, service levels are maintained, and inventory is managed effectively.
You’ll also play a key role in customer communication, supporting issue resolution, improving processes, and providing insightful reporting to senior management.
Key Responsibilities

Managing day-to-day supply chain operations across planning, stock control and materials.

Acting as a key contact for customer supply chain queries and maintaining strong relationships.

Working collaboratively with planning and purchasing teams to support business needs.

Monitoring inventory levels and identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Leading, supporting and developing supply chain coordinators/planners.

Producing reports and analysing KPIs to drive performance improvements.

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the function.

Deputising for the Senior Supply Chain Manager when required.
Skills & Experience

Proven experience in supply chain management within FMCG or food manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of planning systems and supply chain processes.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

A confident, analytical approach with strong attention to detail.

The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Previous team leadership or supervisory experience would be highly advantageous.
