Role Overview
Step into a pivotal senior leadership position where you'll shape the future of operations.

Strategic Leadership: Champion a proactive food safety culture, lead HACCP teams, govern the FSQMS, and provide expert guidance to site directors and stakeholders.

Audit & Compliance Mastery: Drive preparation and lead all audits (BRCGS, customer, EHO), manage non-conformances, incidents, withdrawals, and recalls with precision root cause analysis and CAPA.

Operational Excellence: Oversee supplier approvals, raw material/packaging specs, hygiene standards, environmental monitoring, and swabbing programs to mitigate risks effectively.

Team & Performance Building: Develop a high-performing technical team (including QA Manager and Technical Services Manager), deliver on KPIs, and use data-driven insights for continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Impact: Collaborate with Operations, NPD, Engineering, and Commercial teams to support innovation, process changes, and capital investments that safeguard our products.
Role Details: 40 hours per week with flexibility for audits and site visits; reporting to the UK Head of Technical & NPD.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.

HACCP Level 4 certification.

Extensive senior technical leadership in UK food manufacturing, ideally with major retailers/foodservice.

Proven success maintaining BRCGS certification and handling high-risk audits/incidents.
Desirable: Lead Auditor qualification (BRCGS/ISO); professional food safety membership (e.g., IFST).
