Our Clients are are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team in the construction/manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in determining project costs and preparing accurate estimates for their customers.

Job Specification

Job Title: Construction/Manufacturing Estimator

Location: South Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, office-based

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project requirements to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
• Research and gather quotes for materials, equipment, and labor costs.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project intricacies.
• Prepare and submit detailed quotations for work.
• Assess risk levels on projects and factor them into cost projections.
• Utilize specialized software for cost analysis and report preparation.
• Monitor project stages to ensure costs align with forecasts

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction or manufacturing estimating.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• BTEC, HNC, HND, or degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering)

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of current market trends and pricing fluctuations11
• Experience in preparing project proposals and participating in supplier negotiations11
• Familiarity with construction methodologies and materials411
