A leading international company specialising in the development and manufacture of nutritional food products is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Compliance & Regulatory Technologist to join their team at their Liverpool headquarters.

A new role to the business, the Packaging Compliance & Regulator Technologist will be responsible for ensuring packaging compliance to relevant local and international market regulations (e.g. PPWR, PPT, EPR) and collating and providing the appropriate technical information as part of assessments against these regulations.

You would also be responsible for managing packaging specifications and compliance documentation for both new and existing packaging format.

 

                       

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure packaging and packaging information comply with relevant packaging regulations (e.g., PPWR, PPT, EPR) through collaboration with regulatory and international teams.
  • Monitor changes in packaging legislation, developing and maintaining a compliance roadmap.
  • Manage and create packaging specifications for existing and new packaging formats.
  • Develop and implement compliance testing protocols and schedules.
  • Support industrialization trials and production activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to sustainability initiatives.
  • Compile and provide accurate technical information for regulatory assessments.

 

Person Specification:

  • Knowledge of packaging regulations (e.g PPWR, PPT, EPR) and compliance.
  • Previous experience in a packaging /technical / regulatory role in a food, pharma or consumer goods industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a good eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in IT packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility, agility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • High motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
