This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Concept Technologist looking to progress into a full Concept Product Developer role within a fast-paced food manufacturing business.

We’re looking for a creative, commercially aware innovator with strong bakery experience, and ideally dessert knowledge, to help shape our pipeline of products for major UK retailers.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the front-end concept process, creating consumer-ready ideas, recipes and samples.

• Spending around half your time hands-on in the test kitchen, developing bakery and dessert concepts.

• Managing multiple NPD projects from idea through to handover with the Development and Technical teams.

• Benchmarking, trend analysis and spotting whitespace opportunities to fuel innovation.

• Presenting concepts confidently to major UK retailers, building strong customer relationships.

• Supporting the smooth transition of gold-standard concepts into development trials and factory scale-up.

• Line-managing one Concept Technologist, providing guidance, structure and development.

What we’re looking for

• Solid bakery experience within an NPD or concept-focused role in manufacturing.

• Dessert experience would be a real advantage.

• Previous customer-facing experience with UK retailers, able to pitch, present and influence.

• Strong creative flair with the ability to turn trends and insight into commercially viable ideas.

• Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

• A team player with leadership potential and a desire to support and develop others.

• Comfortable working at pace in both the kitchen and the office.
