This is an exciting opportunity for a proven Production Manager from the FMCG food manufacturing sector to take full responsibility for leading a high-performing production facility. The role offers the chance to influence continuous improvement, drive operational excellence, and lead cross-functional teams in a well-established and quality-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all production operations across a two-shift system (Monday to Friday, 6:00 am–2:00 pm and 2:00 pm–10:00 pm).

Oversee a team of approximately 26 production staff, including two engineers, intake and despatch operatives, a production planner, and AM/PM shift supervisors.

Take ownership of engineering activity and coordinate day-to-day support across departments.

Champion continuous improvement projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across all processes.

Manage departmental budgets and planning to meet production targets.

Work in close collaboration with technical and health & safety teams to ensure compliance, maintain high hygiene standards, and remain audit-ready.

Lead recruitment and development within the production function to build and sustain a strong, motivated workforce.
Candidate Profile

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Production Manager within a fast-paced FMCG food manufacturing environment.

Background in meat or poultry processing desirable but not essential.

Strong leadership skills, with experience managing diverse teams across multiple disciplines.

Demonstrable experience in production planning, budgeting, and problem-solving.

Solid understanding of hygiene, health & safety requirements, and quality standards within food manufacturing.

Exposure to continuous improvement or project management initiatives is advantageous.
